Aimee Winkler is a Chicago native and has been a pet owner for her entire life.
In particular I am a dog lover, but I have owned and cared for a wide variety of other pets, including cats, reptiles, fish, rodents, ferrets, and birds. Since 2003 I been involved in dog rescue and to date I have aided in the rescue and re-homing of more than 200 dogs and several cats. Though my favorite breed is the Shiba Inu, I have worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I also have experience working with animals with special needs, including those that are blind, deaf, lame and severely shy/fearful.
In the summer of 2010 I graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College.
Working with animals is truly a passion for me that has grown from years of being both a pet owner and rescuer. Above all I believe in a gentle approach with animals that focuses on positive reinforcement. My dogs are like children to me, and you can rest assured that I will care for your pets exactly as I would want someone caring for mine!
